About Thato
I am a very energetic and optimistic person, I believe in people and generally love meeting them and facing new challenges. In my spare time I enjoy reading and going out with friends. Some of my hobbies are dancing and singing. I consider myself to be an open book ,what you see is what you get. I am kind and understanding, head strong and a very hard worker,I always finish what I start.
Where I grew up
I come from a very small township on the outskirts of Johannesburg ,named Thokoza. I was born and raised there by my mother(Mamphuthi Manamela) , a very dedicated and loving woman and my father (Simon Manamela) who has been, till this day and forever will be, the best man in my life. I have two siblings an older brother and a younger one (Sechaba and Keletso-respectfully), who are both equally loud and annoying, but I truly could have never asked for better siblings.. I grew up a very happy child, and even though it was tough at times, my parents made sure I had everything I needed and for that reason I am determined to make them proud.
Why I am a part of Whakatau
Being a part of Whakatau has been an unreal dream ( I still can not believe is actually real). Initially when I applied I was at across roads, after highschool all I really was used to was rejection and no after no. When I saw the ad I saw an opportunity but to say I was as optimistic as I usually am would be stretching the truth. I expected disappointment but didn't get it if anything I was given an opportunity and from there I was determined that no matter what I would give it my best, I would learn and I would become a software developer , I am well on my way to it! I am making progress slowly but very surely. I am learning everyday and by the end of training I hope to look back and see a whole different person , a whole different me, in a sense that I will be a better developer ,a diligent worker and overall better person.
