HERE'S A BRIEF INTRO TO THE BEST C# TEXT-BASED ADVETURE GAME YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED

Goals and Objectives


The WhakaTeam have finally dipped their toes into the vast ocean that is C#. We were tasked with making a text-based adventure game using just C# and a measley console manager. Neither of which being known for being visually appealing. Our journey thus far has been long, fun and also arduous. Having no prior experience using C# has definetly proven to be a steep learning curve. Regarless of that we persevere to provide you with an entertaining game.

Some of the compulsory criteria for our game includes being a text-based adventure game, obviously using C# only, and having a hint of colour. We also need to take on the monumental task of making the game using Object-Oriented Programming. Lastly, it is absolutely pivotal that the game is... fun.

Scope

The game follows the tale of a student that visits a shady organisation that has a hand in research of time travel. A series of events leads to the student being teleported to the past with no way back. This journey brims with African history as well as fantasy, can you survive? Can you get back home? Go ahead and try.

Trials and Tributations


Our team have experienced countless struggles already, and of course will be facing more trying to complete this game. Learning itself for example is a massive task we all need to adapt to. In the process we have conquered challenges such as structural inefficiency in code and well, not being Object-Oriented in our programming. Not to mention the difficulty of being a test driven developer.
